The Ultra-Large Better Light Digital Back for our studio camera has many uses and some limitations. It is a perfect tool for shooting architecture, products for large presentations (such as trade shows and billboards) and it is essential for fine-art reproductions of paintings. But we have stretched it's use for private uses. When it comes to huge portraits of TV and music stars, there is no substitute for it's one-hundred and eight megapixel, 700 megabite, 16 bit images, to produce wall-sized images of great clarity. Exotic car owners have been knocked out by near life-sized prints of their half-million dollar playthings that look real enough to Le Mans start. And finally, a family portrait that is truly big enough to hang over the fire place. The only catch for portraiture is that the subjects have to remain reasonably stll for about a minute, as the back (scans) the scene.
