FYI, the dogs (all shot separately) were all posed WITH their mallets which were held firmly with rigs which were later erased. The final print was printed at 40" x 60" in the neighborhood of 300dpi and graces the lobby of the magazine.

| This is a basic example of how we generate a relatively huge, hi-rez file with a med-rez camera by using the Better Light system for the background plate of the house and grounds, thus maintaining a uniform (more or less) resolution throughout the compositing process. As this was a magazine cover, you might wonder why we bothered to maintain such a high resolution. Anyone who has worked pulling mattes on frizzy blond fashion models knows, you need to work at as high a resolution and color bit depth as possible.
